Acknowledged as received. Should I also conclude that the Chief Justice has sweet fuck all concern that Mr. Breivik's attorney is not acting in the best interests of a free and fair trial for Mr. Breivik? Mr. Lippestad is fully aware and cognisant of the political necessity defence, yet pretends he is fucking clueless about it, condemning the actions of his client in the media.

Perhaps Mr. Breivik is the only Norwegian with a spine; sure seems like it. The rest of you appear to be a bunch of gutless jellyfish; just waiting to be conquered by Islam. But if that is your choice, by all means go ahead.

Lawyer details Breivik's 'demands'

The lawyer defending the confessed killer in Norway’s twin terror attacks said today that his client has presented a long list of “unrealistic” demands.

These include the resignation of the government and that his mental condition be investigated by Japanese specialists.

Geir Lippestad told the Associated Press that Anders Behring Breivik is linking these demands to his willingness to share information about two other alleged terrorist cells that Breivik has mentioned during questioning.

Mr Lippestad said the 32-year-old Norwegian wants to be investigated by Japanese specialists because “the Japanese understand the idea and values of honour”.

The July 22 bombing in Norway’s government quarter in Oslo and a shooting massacre at a Labour Party youth camp on Utoya island killed 77 people.

To acknowledge that our good society may be a facade hiding more furious elements is no simple act. The way ‘forward’ is an uncomfortable one of opening ourselves to our most shameful wants, so shameful that most have pushed it to an unknown corner of their minds. It would require a drastic breaking, a radical self-interrogation for which no ‘solution’ is guaranteed.
